If you don’t find what you’re looking for, or you’re still unable to access or make your way through the e-learning, contact The Office of Faculty Development: fac.dev@ubc.ca
UBC has two learning management systems with the ‘Canvas’ in their name: Canvas and Canvas Catalog. A Day in the Life of a Preceptor is a Canvas Catalog course; this allows people to register without a CWL.
Visually, Canvas has a navy sidebar; Canvas Catalog has a light blue side bar.

You must sign in with the email address you registered with. If you registered with your Health Authority email address before you received your CWL, you must sign in with that email.
If you registered using your CWL, you must sign in with your CWL. Some participants sign up for the course before they get their CWL from UBC. If you would like the convenience of using your CWL for sign in, re-register for the course with your CWL.

You must click ‘Mark as done’ each time you complete a section. The box will turn to a green ‘Done’ and then you can click ‘Next’.
This has been done so that when you leave the e-learning and return you can see where you left off and begin with the sections that you have not completed.

For the ‘Plan for Application’ you will need to ‘Start Assignment’, enter something in the text book and click ‘Submit Assignment’.

If you do not enter any text in the text box, you will not be able to move to the next step.
