Accreditation

A Day in the Life of a Preceptor is accredited for 17.5 Mainpro+ credits when you complete ALL components of the program:
- Attendance at Live Virtual Meetings (Zoom) or viewing the Interactive Video
- Completion of E-Learning and the plan for application activities (Steps 1, 2, 3)
- Attendance at Small Group Case-Based Learning Meetings hosted by your division
Each topic is self-contained and partial credits can be claimed for each component completed. Participants who do not complete all components of the program are able to claim the hours they have completed.
You can use this chart to help you calculate possible hours/credits for each component of the course:
| Component | Topic 1 | Topic 2 | Topic 3 | Topic 4 | Topic 5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Live Virtual Meeting or Interactive Video | 1.5 | 0.5 | 1* | 0.5 | 1 |
| E-Learning | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Case-based Learning | 1.5 | 1.5 | 1.5 | 1.5 | 1.5 |
| Total Possible Hours | 4 | 3 | 3.5* | 3 | 3.5 |
*NOTE: You can claim an additional 30 minutes for attending the optional Teaching Tales & Tips session after the Topic 3 Live Virtual Meeting.
For example, if you were able to complete the first three topics and attended the optional Teaching Tales & Tips session, but ran into workload limitations for the last two, you could claim 11 credits.
If you were unable to make the timing of the live virtual meetings work, but watched the recorded meetings, completed the e-learning and attended 3 out of 5 case-based learning sessions, you could claim 10.5 credits.
